I'm not going to tell you where I had it done in order to maintain total anonymity. I went to a reputable Doctor that does nothing but hair restoration surgery. I would describe myself as 75 percent satisfied. Do I regret it? No. But I did not achieve the density I expected.

First of all, understand that it is VERY expensive. Second, understand that a man with major hair loss will have to undergo many sessions of transplants in order to achieve a satisfactory result.

What you mentioned about botched jobs is true. Fortunately my Doctor has done a quality job every time. My dillema is that my individual hairs are very small in diameter. Consequently, it takes an enormous amount of transplants to achieve a reasonable amount of density. Beyond that, the transplanted hair is permanent and no more vulnerable than any other hair on your head.

You need to do like I did and research the hell out of it. Request info in the mail and schedule a no-obligation consultation from a hair transplant specialist.

Despite my lack of total success, I consider surgery to be the only real solution for someone with significant hair loss. I know because I've tried everything except the polyweaves (which I don't consider as a good option).
